The World Premiere of Where Wishes Take Flight for Mixed Decet dedicated to Helix Collective (USA). https://www.helixcollective.org/shows Join us for this day all about the power of great music packed into a small ensemble! Helix Collective premieres 8 original works from our call-for-scores with the American Society of Music Arrangers and Composers.
The day begins with a discussion with composer Nathan Barr and ASMAC host Charles Fernandez on the power of small ensembles. Learn how Nathan gets the most color, variety, and bang from a chamber group and how he uses his home base at Bandrika Studios to record this music for film and television.
The music will span a wide variety of styles of music from jazz, film music, neo-romantic, and genre-bending new works.
